You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Operations Department of NAS OCEANA.
Duties
You will assist higher level graded electronics technicians in performing preventative and corrective maintenance.
You will diagnose, isolate, and correct malfunctions on airfield communications systems.
You will conduct on-the-job training that will require you to develop training guides and/or lesson plans.
You will record, document, an track all job related maintenance via the Maintenance Data Analysis Tool (MDAT).

- You will be required to climb ladders to various heights (up to 70 feet) and work outside in all types of weather conditions.
- You will be required to work an in environment that involves high risk of exposure to potentially dangerous situations working in hazardous areas in close proximity to the airfields.
- You will be required to complete an airfield driving safety course.
- You will be required to complete annual CPR certification requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Assisting with maintaining Air Traffic Control Communication Systems; 2) Assisting with solving electronic equipment and maintenance issues and correcting deficiencies; 3) Assisting with interpreting drawings, plans, and specifications to identify and correct deficiencies, and resolving operational problems and recommending improved procedures; AND 4) Analyzing circuits utilizing schematics, wire diagrams, blueprints, and engineering drawings, and make rough drawings of interconnecting wiring, in conjunction with maintenance and installation of electronic equipment.

Education
