You will serve as a ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Air Operations Department of NAS OCEANA.
Duties
You will monitor operating trends to detect potential problems.
You will perform a full range of preventative and corrective maintenance work on assigned systems.
You will diagnose faults in the operational configuration of electronic systems and equipment.
You will draw schematic diagrams of existing and future electronic facilities for record purposes in order to facilitate their economical and efficient and efficient repair.

Qualifications
Outside applicants claiming VEOA, VRA, and 30% (i.e., those without current or prior Federal competitive or excepted service) must meet specialized experience requirements equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. I have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS- 10 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Reviewing technical airfield electronic work for compliance with regulations; 2) Troubleshooting and repairing airfield electronic equipment, air traffic control systems, radars, instrument approach systems, navigational aids, and communications systems to solve complex technical problems or improve system performance; 3) Evaluating equipment design to improve or enhance circuit and system operation; 4) Using applicable test equipment, test methods and practices as related to the Air Traffic Control equipment and systems; 5) Maintaining inspection records required by technical orders, applicable regulations, and operating instructions.
