You will serve as a ELECTRONIC TECHNICIAN in the AIR OPERATIONS of NAS OCEANA.
Duties
You will analyze, troubleshoot, test, repair, modify, adjust, diagnose, tune, and certify air traffic control and navigational aids to insure continuous, accurate and reliable operation.
You will coordinate the installation, relocation, modification and extensive field maintenance of assigned systems.
You will develop and initiate changes to prescribed maintenance procedures to expedite corrective action and alignments to optimize equipment availability for continuous airfield operations.
You will conduct formal classroom and on-the-job training for GEMD Maintenance personnel.

- Incumbent will work in cramped spaces, carry heavy chassis , climb ladders up to 70 feet, work in the weather, and work long hours to meet the commands' requirements and operational commitments.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying electronic theories and principles, computer theories and operations, digital techniques, integrated chip theories, and mathematic symbology and numbering systems to install and maintain air traffic control systems and navigational aids; 2) Using appropriate test equipment to determine the cause of malfunctions and take corrective action; and 3) Analyzing circuits, preparing electronic schematics and wiring diagrams, and reading blueprints and engineering drawing to make drawing of electronic circuitry and interconnecting wiring in conjunction with maintaining and installing computer or electronic equipment.
