You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC located in Norfolk, VA.
Duties
You will advise financial management staff on the application of funding policy and regulatory requirements.
You will analyze data for various financial reports (e.g., budget formulation, budget execution, accounting, audit readiness).
You will identify information to be used in financial exhibits, reports, or presentations
You will develop measures for resolving financial management and audit readiness issues
You will draft briefs of financial management policies, procedures, and issues for senior managers
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Planning work, establishing priorities and scheduling work as necessary to assure effective and expeditious accomplishment of priority work without adverse effect on regular and recurring work: 2) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of the organization's programs and administrative operations: 3) Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/effective recommendations based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems and choose courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders: 4) Apply fiscal law, policies, regulations, principles, standards and procedures to financial management through understanding of Business Rules for CNIC/NAVFAC, CNRMA/MIDLANT, CNIC N4/ HQ: 5) Preparing various financial reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, ect. For top-level presentations and briefings to improve operations, correct deficiencies, and prevent recurrent of problems.
