You will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Customer Support) Naval Air Warfare Center Training Systems Division (NAWCTSD), Command Operations Department, Information Technology Division NAWCTSD ORLANDO.
Duties
You will provide planning and delivery of customer support services, including installation, configuration,
troubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements.
You will assist the Deputy Activity Contracting Technical Representative (DACTR) in executing the contracts that provide IT services to the NAWCTSD.
You will assist the CTR/ ACTR in executing the contracts that provide IT services to the NAWCTSD.
You will lead the efforts of IT Specialists and subject matter personnel assigned to study teams organized under the matrix management concept.
You will review work completed by contractor team and accepts or rejects that work in accordance with the terms of the contract.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Cybersecurity certification for specified cybersecurity workforce category position as required in the DoD 8140.01.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
One year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined:
1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Reviewing information technology related work to ensure instructions are followed that were provided in job aids and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) before turning it in for higher level review.
2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Helping end users change the desktop display configurations on their workstations.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Presenting training to end users on how to create an account and submit help tickets in a new information technology system.
4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Resolving common issues end users have when using an information technology system.
In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in order to perform the duties of a Lead IT SPEC (Policy & Planning/Customer Support). Specialized experience must include some or all of the following: 1) Monitoring, evaluating, and advising on the work efforts and products of teams established to ensure the development of enterprise IT interfaces required to support the continued operation of critical customer applications; 2) Serving customers at various levels in the chain of command and providing them with accurate and complete information; 3) Demonstrating the ability to manage multiple priorities and serve in a high stress environment; 4) Leading a diverse team of individuals working together to enact change, achieve superior results, and display business acumen.
