You will serve as a IT CYBERSECURITY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the CYBERSECURITY OPERATIONS BRANCH of NAWCTSD ORLANDO. ***This position has a control point of GS-14 Step 10. If selected, your salary will be set according to the established control points of this position which is $122,198 - $158,860.

Duties

You will serve as the focal point for computer security incident reporting and response. You will assist in the analysis of vulnerabilities. You will develop, manage and provide policy and guidance with respect to the Command InfoSec/Cybersecurity Program. You will investigate or provide investigative support in incidents that involve inappropriate use of computer assists.

• This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level advanced within 12 months of appointment.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. In addition to demonstrating the four competencies above, your resume must also demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DS-05) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate duties related to the following: 1) Implementing Cybersecurity policies, monitoring compliance, and reviewing/reporting results of such monitoring; 2) Working with Assessment & Authorization frameworks, including the Risk Management Framework; 3) Developing and executing command cybersecurity incident response and reporting; 4) Monitoring cybersecurity operations within the cybersecurity environment to ensure compliance with information system security requirements; 5) Ensuring users and system support personnel have the required security clearances, authorization and need-to-know before granting access to information systems; and 6) Ensuring cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are synchronized and coordinated with affected parties and organizations.
