About the Position:
This position is located at Fort Novosel, Alabama, home of the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence. Fort Novosel is located in the "Wiregrass" area in Southeast Alabama, surrounded by Enterprise, Ozark and Daleville. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Recreation activities are abundant in the immediate and surrounding areas for family and fun.
Duties
Serve as course manager and administer for planning, design and development.
Serve as course manager and administer for planning, design and development of AWOBC and ABOLC-B courses.
Develop, update lesson plans and course materials, ensuring input of all lesson plans into the Training Development Capability (TDC) database.
Coordinate with Directorate of Training and Development, IMT/PME INT Branch, and the schoolhouse when changes/revisions to existing course are directed by TRADOC/Aviation Proponent/CG.
Prepare and revise TDC analysis documentation.
Produce TDC analysis products for critical professional/leader development tasks and training requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
- This position requires to obtain and maintain Instructor training certification, Common Faculty Development per TRADOC regulation 350-70 within 6 months of employment.
- Per TRADOC Regulation 370-70, personnel who are assigned to a faculty position will re-certify every five years.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service, which includes: knowledge of wide range of training methods, techniques, and tools, to include knowledge of training developments in order to design and develop training course and materials evaluate training programs, and/or complete various special projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled, such as, Education or related field. NOTE: You MUST submit copy of your college transcripts.)
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
