You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER in the Aviation Support Department, Supply Response Section, Material Delivery Unit of COMMANDER ELEC ATTACK WING PAC FLEET.

Duties

You will operate trucks up to 26,000 pound Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) on regularly established schedules and routes. You will receive, process and prepare for delivery a variety of aviation bin and bulk supplies, material and equipment up material from FLCPS, building 369, and ASD Rotatable Pool, building 2547 for delivery to various aviation customers. You will properly screen aviation retrogrades from squadron hangars for delivery; ensure material and paperwork match and the correct delivery address is annotated on the paperwork and ensure proof of delivery is obtained. You will ensure that all cargo is properly distributed, secured, and protected to prevent damage or loss while in transit. You will be required to load and unload material from trucks, railcars, and other conveyances, and move material throughout warehouse environment as well as on flightline. You will independently operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) weighing 6,000 pounds and up to15,000 pounds, moving material up to 15,000 pounds and lifting material in transit 12 foot high during performance of this work. You will conduct daily safety checks for proper operation of safety features and document any deficiencies for corrective action. You will perform routine warehousing activities, including receiving, storing, and issuing and staging of material. You will research and report damaged goods or shipment shortages, load and unload materials and places in correct locations or storage areas, and mark material packaging or labels material for proper identification. You will perform physical inventory counts and location audits to maintain inventory validity including updating an automated supply information system.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
