About the Position: Serves as a Budget Analyst for the Joint Activites located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Responsible for programming unit budget for unit training and real-world operations
Develops budget data and justifications for logistical requirements and provides input to the Joint Special Operations Command Operation Budget.
Responsible for conducting a wide variety of studies, analyses and evaluations relating to the units programs and the planning programming, budgeting and management of unit resources.
Analyzes, monitors and maintains records, tracks status of programs for future, current and past Fiscal Years (FY's).
Serves as Financial and Program analyst for Aviation test and Evaluation Group (AVTEG).
Provides comprehensive program and budget analysis for resource of AVTEG acquisition, manpower, operational and support requirements.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance with SCI access.
- Position subject to random drug urinalysis testing.
- Some TDY will be required to attend meetings and conferences.
- THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work that includes analyzing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) to provide updates based on the Program Decision Memorandum; advising on the Planning, Programming and Budget System (PPBS) to alleviate adverse impact on resource levels; AND providing budget analysis for resources of acquisition, manpower, operational and/or support requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-11.
