This position is in the Office of Support Operations (OSO), Business Management Office (BMO) located in Washington, DC.
The mission of OSO's BMO is to oversee and manage all business functions of the OSO organization, ensuring that the most efficient and effective business practices are followed. The BMO serves as a conduit for OSO offices to plan, manage, and execute mission requirements. The BMO ensures that data and reporting are accurate, timely, and reliable.

Typical Duties:
Determines financial management information needs, makes recommendations, and develops and monitors financial systems and programs to assist the assigned organization's managers in fulfilling their financial responsibilities.
Analyzes, interprets, compiles, and summarizes the assigned organization's budget and program guidance.
Monitors a variety of financial and statistical trends and prepares management financial reports for senior managers to inform them of negative or positive financial trends or conditions portrayed in financial records.
Develops and prepares guidance, reports, briefings or analysis in response to requests for budget or financial information.
Interacts and interfaces with programming and budgeting analysts, resource managers, agency professionals in support of budget justification and submission.

Qualifications
All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level.
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying education must have been obtained from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level. Specialized experience includes: 1) analyzing financial management operations, programs, and internal controls relating to budget formulation and execution; 2) providing financial/budget guidance and assistance to stakeholders; 3) compiling financial data from a variety of sources in order to solve financial issues; and 4) managing projects and identifying challenges related to financial management.
