You will serve as a MATERIALS HANDLER LEADER in the Food Service Division, G4 on MARINE CORPS BASE.

Duties

You will obtain needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems that come up during the work. You will maintain a current knowledge, and answers questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives. You will select the proper storage location, rotates as required, and plans day-to-day space utilization. storage programs. You will be responsible for assigned storage areas being maintained in accordance with existing regulations concerning storage of items and ensures proper housekeeping is practiced. You will be responsible for daily spot inventories as assigned by physically counting material in all locations and pending receipts.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift certification.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This position is considered Mission-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
  • Must be willing and able to lift and/or carry loads/items up to 40 pounds in weight.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
