This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the SUPERVISION/MANAGEMENT Work Category at the EXPERT Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA J6 - Command, Control, Communications, and Computers (C4) Enterprise Directorate.
Duties
Serves as the Customer Agreements and Contracts Chief.
Serves as an expert in acquisition policy and provides leadership over complex acquisition programs.
Develops goals that integrate all phases of procurement objectives with those of acquiring technically adequate IT products, systems, and services.
Prioritizes IT Acquisition projects and initiatives based on organization need. Provides follow-on, authoritative IT Acquisition evaluations and recommendations.
Makes senior management level recommendations for IT Acquisition problems for the improvement of DISA J6 operations and maintains situational awareness of customer missions, resources, operational challenges, and Congressional and OSD concerns.
Requirements

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- This is a drug testing designated position.
- The incumbent must obtain Acquisition certification in the Program Management Functional Area at the Advanced Tier 4 Functional Tier within 48 months of entry into this position.
- Office of Government Ethics (OGE) confidential financial disclosure form 450 is required for this position.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- This is a critical Acquisition Position (CAP). Incumbent must sign DD Form 2888, Critical Acquisition Position Service Agreement.
- Situational Telework Only, including Emergency and OPM Prescribed Unscheduled Telework
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience directing programs and executing contract management of programs in core areas including information technology, emerging technology, strategic trends, and policy.
