This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Deputy Commandant for Mission Support Commandant (CG-6), Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (CSISC), Infrastructure Services Division (ISD), Technical Services Branch (TSB), Deployed Connectivity Section (DCS) located in Alexandria, VA.
Duties
You will serve as an Information Technology Cybersecurity Specialist (CUSTSPT/INFOSEC) and be responsible for developing methods to monitor and measure risk, compliance, and assurance efforts, providing ongoing optimization and problem-solving support, and acting as a primary stakeholder in the underlying information technology (IT) operational processes and functions that support the service, provide direction and monitor all significant activities so the service is delivered successfully.

Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the federal sector.
Specialized experience must include the following:
Having experience with IT infrastructure systems, providing advice on IT project costs, design concepts and/or design changes.
Having experience implementing IT Infrastructure systems addressing IT infrastructure and orcybersecurity requirements.
Having experience working with customers, stakeholders, sponsors, and/or other IT service providers toelicit requirements, resources and prioritization.
Preparing and presenting IT project management briefs, technical proposals to supervisors and/orhigh-level management.
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.

National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
