About the position: This position will be assigned to the OUTDOOR RECREATION CENTER
This position requires to work weekends Saturday and Sunday.
Duties
The duties, activities, or responsibilities of this position require the employee to do one or more of the following: Performs and or assists other recreation assistants or specialists in the preparation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational facilities. Inspects facilities and equipment to assure safe condition and cleanliness. Performs minor repairs and adjustments to outdoor recreation equipment to include markers and air tanks. Issues and collects equipment. Collects, safeguards and deposits fees received from customers. Assists in conducting inventories, maintains records. As necessary, demonstrates basic techniques used and ensures that safety rules are followed. Assists in conducting special programs such as paintball intramurals and scheduled tournaments/parties. Works under the supervision of the Outdoor Recreation Director.

- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required. Experience and/or knowledge of paintball and gun safety is desirable. Ability to learn rules of paintball shooting and gun cleaning. Must be at least 18 years of age. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check.
