About the position: This position will be assigned to the Sheppard AFB Community Center (Information, Tickets and Tours)

Duties
Develops, implements, and conducts a comprehensive Information Ticket and Tours program for the military DoD civilians, and their families assigned to Sheppard Air Force Base. Provides a full range of unofficial travel services and obtains the best possible travel arrangement at the lowest possible price for authorized customers. This includes domestic and international services for travel by air, sea and land. hotel/motel reservations, vehicle rental, tour packages, travel insurance and convention and meeting arrangements by working with on- and off-base agencies. Prepares marketing and business plans for all events and activities. Utilizes all available advertising media to promote all ITT functions. Prepares flyers, brochures, newsletters, etc., utilizing computer graphics programs and submits complete information to Marketing for dissemination to base personnel. Prepares quarterly, semi-annual and annual tour planners, newsletters and price lists. Prepares activity budgets for all ITT accounts and monitors financial statements, capital expenditures, and IMPAC purchases. Prepares financial statements utilizing spreadsheet software and provides to Flight Chief on an as needed basis. Responsible for work force management and staff training. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO and diversity objectives. Maintains and tracks change funds and daily inventories. Based on customer need, contracts and schedules various craft classes such as painting, basketweaving, photography, etc. Meets with customer and coordinating officials to assess customer satisfaction, explain organization policy and procedures, and resolve problems that arise. researches and determines or recommends appropriate actions or interpretation of issues that impact organization, installation, command, or agency. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
Performs other related duties as assigned. May operate one or more motor vehicles to include light trucks, sedans and 15 passenger vans weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

Qualifying Experience:
Responsible experience which has demonstrated the ability to manage business activities. May have been gained in an operating, administrative or managerial position which included responsibility for various phases of operations, such as equipment and supply accountability, financial management, or planning organizational or club activities. The experience must have provided knowledge of accounting and financial planning principles and procedures. Ability to supervise, train and schedule subordinates or have experience which shows the potential to develop these qualities. General travel industry knowledge to include processing reservations using available travel system software programs and internet services is highly desirable. Must satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check. Works an uncommon tour of duty. Must possess a valid state driver's license appropriate for the size and type of vehicle operated. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner.
