About the Position: This position is located within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District. Engineering and Construction, Design Branch, Civil Design Section. Work is performed under general supervision of the Deputy Chief, Engineering & Construction Division
Duties
Coordinate the Engineering and Planning division efforts in the areas of:
Personnel management, organizational structure, and development.
Identify financial, manpower, and problems or material needs.
Identify Property management and work procedures improvement.
Identify training needs such as, career development and personnel performance processes.
Oversee policy development, implementation„ and compliance.
Manage utilization of manpower, funds, property development, implementation, and compliance.
Coordinate management control processes and compliance reviews.
Perform specialized tasks of a technical as well as administrative nature to aid in managing, directing and operating the organizations.
Coordinates the work of the Engineering and Planning Division with other programs as necessary, and resolves conflicts.
Supervise subordinate budget analysts and administrative personnel.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

GS-12:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes meeting all of the following:1) Utilize various office
automation databases to interpret data and prepare/maintain reports and spreadsheets; 2) participate in the development and administration of organizational operating budgets; and 3) provide guidance to staff on administrative, budget, and/or human resource related activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
