You will serve as a Navy Modernization Team Lead in the Systems Integration Department of NAVSURFWARCEN IH DIV.
This is not a high-grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13, Step 10 (currently $157,934).
Duties
You will serve as the Team Lead and subject matter expert overseeing the Navy Minor and Medium Caliber GWS Navy Modernization Process (NMP).
You will direct shipboard alteration and installation planning, coordination, and execution utilizing applicable resources.
You will develop and assign tasks to team members to generate and manage Ship Change Documents, schedule approved Ship Alterations, Ordnance Alterations, and Software Updates.
You will initiate and manage Risk Forms, Target Control Date waivers and Base Line change requests.
You will interface with the PEO and provide SME advice to execute program objectives.
You will support the Navy Modernization Processes at the waterfront.
You will support check-in/check-out procedures for Regional Maintenance and Modernization Coordination Office (RMMCO), Alteration Installation Team (AIT) requirements, for the MK38 25mm and 30mm GWS, MK46 30mm, and MK110 57mm Gun Weapon Systems.
You will communicate with all stakeholders, Command leadership, colleagues, managers, and the Fleet (Navy, Marine Corps, or United States Coast Guard) on navy modernization activities.
You will make recommendations directly to Program Offices regarding scheduled maintenance, and will plan, schedule, execute, and manage inventory and resources of production processes.
You will develop fielding plans to align with each gun weapon system program objectives and manage the processes and milestones to ensure timely execution to meet Fleet requirements.
You will manage and track Minor and Medium Caliber GWS ORDALT and Software configuration, Installation Tracker spreadsheet, as well as oversee the Quality Management System (QMS).

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 pay band (GS-11/12 grade level equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Supporting or leading weapon system shipboard alteration and installation planning, coordination, and execution utilizing Navy Modernization Processes, applicable tools and portals.
