You will serve as a WORK LIFE PROGRAM COORDINATOR in the HUMAN CAPITAL OFFICE DIRECTORATE of NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY.

Duties

You will provide guidance concerning wellness, telework, drug testing, suitability, and other similar work-life initiatives. You will interpret regulations and provide recommendations on cases that may be controversial. You will monitor the execution of programs for legal and regulatory compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency. You will participate in policy meetings and conferences to ensure policy decisions are consistent with strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with other agencies to identify areas for improvement, share best practices, and recommend policy changes as needed.

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the excepted service which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating HR analytic strategies and developing policies to improve work-life programs within the organization; 2) Collecting, aggregating, analyzing, and reporting on a wide variety of human capital data from a range of human resources information systems; and 3) Developing human capital reports which contain graphics covering broad mission-oriented projects, programs, and initiatives to present to senior leadership.
