You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Integrated Logistics Support Division of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.

Duties

You will be responsible for contract administration of new construction/design and development and/or Overhaul contracts. You will be responsible for extensive integrated logistical support outfitting and technical logistics product development in support of multiple ships. You will create customized GUCL loadout packages for each new construction ship and assist with standard issue of Damage control materials. You will plan, implement and manage logistics support for systems and equipment. You will have knowledge of the Navy Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) incremental product and Allowance Appendix page and how to maintain up-to-date status of ILS milestone plans and prepare reports. You will have experience generating requisitions and MILSTRIPS supporting a wide range of equipment, services and commodity using NAVY ERP, eMall, OneTouch and GPC to support outfitting.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: configuration and logistical support work which requires applying a broad knowledge of logistics principles, concepts and methods that encompasses a wide range of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for ships undergoing construction, development and modernization or overhaul and repair. You have demonstrated a knowledge of contract administration acquisition for ships in order to generate requisitions supporting a wide range of equipment, service and commodity using ERP and GPC to support outfitting. You have experience performing analytical and investigative assignments in support of the assessment and validation of shipboard equipment and systems, which contributes to accurate configuration information and the correct identification of logistics support elements, is required. Examples of specialized experience may include: 1) Research each Coordinated Shipboard Allowance List incremental product and allowance appendix page and maintain up to date status of ILS milestone plans and prepare reports 2) Act of invalid requisitions determining alternate sources for substitute materials; 3) Attend in process reviews of technical manuals and ensure that make-up and functions of the equipment are being supported; 4) Generate and or execute micro purchases in accordance with guidelines. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
