The primary purpose of this position is to as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer position to serve as the Senior ART/Intelligence Squadron (IS) Commander, assigned to the ISR Group under the 10 AF (AFRC). This IS Commander is responsible for executing global ISR operations in support of Numbered Air Forces, Combatant Commanders and National Agencies with operational and strategic implications
Duties
Duty 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Intelligence Squadron (IS).
Duty 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Exercises technical and administrative supervision over a highly experienced staff of analytic, operational, and support personnel responsible for the planning and management of highly complex analytic support and ISR operational functions.
Duty 3: Manages ISR training and readiness for the squadron. Reports unit readiness posture under the Status of Resources and Training System (SORTS) and Air Expeditionary Forces (AEF) Reporting Tool (ART).
Duty 4: Staff Duties. Performs various staff duties as assigned by the supervisor. Accomplishes and coordinates staff work. Assists the Group Commander or assigned Staff Officers in preparing the Operations Group for Operational Readiness Inspections (ORIs), Unit Compliance Inspections (UCIs), Unit Effectiveness Inspections (UEIs), and Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs), and any other Command directed inspections or audits measuring the Wing's mission effectiveness.
Duty 5: Performs as a certified ISR Operations Commander. Regularly serves as an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) Operations Commander to execute assigned ISR missions. Maintains technical subject matter expertise and familiarity with related ISR system and operations, through certification and currency of skills.

- This position has been identified as a drug testing designated position. The incumbent of this position may be

- This is an AFRC key management position in which the incumbent is required to formulate, determine or influence policies
of the assigned units.
- This is an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer position. The incumbent is required to meet and maintain Air Force
Reserve requirements. The incumbent’s regular assignments are ART duties;
- however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities. Work schedule will be aligned to allow incumbent to fully participate in unit training assemblies (UTA).

- This position is designated as a mobility position. The incumbent must be willing to move/transfer to another unit /location
on a lateral or promotion basis as directed by HQ AFRC.
Qualifications
This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Comprehensive knowledge of national strategic plans and policies, intelligence systems capabilities/shortfalls, AF capabilities-based planning processes, HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination. Knowledge of and understanding of national, DoD, and U.S. Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures relating to ISR activities. Knowledge of personnel management procedures related to the supervisory role. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO principles, regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct ISR operations functions; and mentor, motivate, and appraise a staff through subordinate supervisors. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge and experience as an intelligence officer, having operational experience in at least two of the below intelligence disciplines-HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source Analysis/Fusion Analysis, DCGS, targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination.
Knowledge of HUMINT, GEOINT/MASINT, SIGINT, All-Source / Fusion Analysis, DCGS, targeting, collection management, analytical production management, and dissemination.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of national, DoD, and U.S. Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures relating to ISR activities.
Must be highly knowledgeable in the capabilities, limitations, and techniques for employment of ISR platforms.
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Knowledge of personnel management procedures related to the supervisory role. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO principles, regulations, practices, and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, and direct ISR operations functions; and mentor, motivate, and appraise a staff through subordinate supervisors.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; to prepare reports, interface with high levels of management, negotiate complex issues; and maintains good working relationships
Proven ability to build and sustain professional networks to exchange information with mission critical offices, inside AFRC, other MAJCOMs, and Air Force in overall planning and execution of ISR operations and evaluations.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
