The primary purpose of this position is to exercise second level supervisory and managerial authorities over the Engineering Analysis Squadron.

Duties
- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Engineering Analysis Squadron. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organization and engineering design analysis of current and future threat weapon systems; characterizing their physical design and predicting their operational performance and multi-spectral signatures.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
- As Squadron Director, has overall responsibility for managing, overseeing and improving the technical intelligence analysis and production of the Engineering Analysis Squadron.
- Represents the Squadron with a variety of organizational and functional area organizations. Establishes, develops and maintains effective working relationships with NASIC leadership, HQ USAF, other AF, DoD organizations and the intelligence community.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- Travel and relocation expenses WILL BE PAID in accordance with the JTR AND AFMAN 36-606.

- A bachelor?s or master?s degree in a technical related field, such as engineering, physics, mathematics or computer science is desired
- An advanced intelligence-related degree is highly desirable. A Master?s degree in a related field is preferred
- Incumbent may be subject to psychological screening/polygraph testing as an inherent primary requirement of their position
- Flexibility in adjusting scheduled workday is mandatory

Qualifications
This is a GG-15 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-15 duties for the "Supervision/Management" work category are at the "Expert" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-15 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: comprehensive knowledge of predictive integrated intelligence research, collection and analysis methods, techniques, and practices, particularly as related to the use of engineering, physics and other model-based intelligence analysis techniques to formulate, evaluate and convey hypotheses, theories, and threat assessments Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of HQ USAF; Office of Under Secretary of Defense-Intelligence and Security (OUSD(I&S)); Director of National Intelligence (DNI); HQ Department of the Air Force Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Cyber Effects Operations (HQ AF/A2/6).
2. Knowledge of the NASIC organizational structure, mission functions, and policies; and knowledge of national intelligence objectives and priorities, and Joint Force doctrine.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of predictive integrated intelligence research, collection and analysis methods, techniques, and practices, particularly as related to the use of engineering, physics and other model-based intelligence analysis techniques to formulate, evaluate and convey hypotheses, theories, and threat assessments.
4. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures; and knowledge of security practices for ensuring the safeguarding of classified information.
5. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors; and ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
This position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and/or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101. This position is a testing designated position and as such requires periodic urinalysis testing. Failure to comply with any of the special requirements, when required, will subject the incumbent of this position to reassignment or disciplinary adverse actions, including demotion or removal.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
