Duties
Works as part of an effective team in support of customer /student/stakeholder interactions. Seeks innovative approaches to satisfy customers. Fosters individual and team development by active participation and professionalism. Serves on various DAU teams as assigned.
Applies a broad knowledge of administrative and management concepts, principles and practices to analyze, evaluate and provide technical and advisory services on overall mission, functions, policies and procedures within the Business Unit.
Supports enterprise strategic planning and implementation. Collaborates with other business units in support of the DAU mission.
Supports strategic planning within the Business Unit - developing, analyzing, revising and implementing plans of actions. Drafts internal operating procedures, conducts studies of administrative and operational functions, assesses admin/program effectiveness, obtains and compiles data to determine where improvements can be made.
Identifies trends, graphically depicts results and drafts reports of findings.
Other duties, as assigned.

- The incumbent of this position may be required to work overtime, irregular shifts, and/or on the weekend.
- Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on commercial aircraft.
Qualifications
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: General education and/or experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Administrative and Management Positions.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Current GS applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 or (NH-02) level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the NH-03 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband, NH-02, equivalent to the next lower grade, GS-11 or equivalent, in other personnel pay systems including specialized experience as follows:
Demonstrated proficiency in computer application skills to include but not limited to the Microsoft suite of software, Microsoft 365 Applications, Microsoft Teams and other new tools as needed.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and experience assisting leadership in executing mission objectives.
Experience in the application of fact-finding and investigative techniques; oral and written communications; and development of presentations and reports.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
