About the Position: Serves as principal/senior technical expert, analyst, and advisor to the Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army (AASA), and the Deputy Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the Army (DAASA) on a wide range of issues related to the organization.

Duties

Serve as senior Program Analyst and advisor to management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of organization’s programs and operations. Serve as an alternate program manager on various programs assigned. Develop and interpret policy on program planning and evaluation. Utilize qualitative and quantitative analytical and evaluation methods and techniques to plan, organize and direct studies. -Perform a wide variety of administrative, technical, and analytical duties pertaining to programs and functions under the purview of the Administrative Assistant of the Secretary of the Army (AASA).

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • 10% travel may be required.
  • Obtain and Maintain Secret Security Clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Execute program functions including develop, plan, manage to coordinate programs across different organizations. 2) Analyze complex interrelationships of programs to assist in requirements review, analysis, and evaluation of manpower utilization; 3) Provide analytical and evaluation methods necessary to develop long and short-range plans and guidance; 4) Plan and execute Special Projects/Events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
