You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PROGRAM MANAGER (NUCLEAR) in the NUCLEAR TEST ENGINEERING DIVISION (CODE 2340) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will provide direction and oversight for the training program and its employees including direct reports, instructors (nuclear engineers, engineering technicians), and trainees.
You will plan work to be accomplished by direct reports and other subordinates (trainees and instructors),
sets priorities and prepares or reviews schedules for completion of work.
You will give advice, counsel and instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrative matters.
You will hear and resolve complaints from branch employees and refers group grievances and the more
serious complaints which cannot be resolved, to higher level supervisors.
You will be responsible for the planning, development and execution of multiple components of the division’s
training programs and for ensuring they meet nuclear test training program requirements.
You will give briefings and participate in meetings to higher level managers and headquarters personnel
regarding nuclear test training and administrative programs.
You will determine learning objectives by monitoring on-site work performance and consulting with
workers, supervisors and managers.
You will review and evaluate curricula materials for technical and educational adequacy, and accomplishment of objectives.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing and administering nuclear test training programs by analyzing effectiveness of programs or projects to ensure safe and efficient workplace operations.
