About the Position: This position is located within the Directorate for Professional Education (DPE), Bio skills Training Department. The position is that of a simulation specialist, conducting simulation training, assisting with development and coordination of simulation curriculum, simulation scenario design and evaluation, and evaluation of courses designed.

Duties

Provide education opportunities that may or may not include low-to high simulation support for classes, training and exercises. Provide input to maintain Standards of Procedures (SOPs) for the simulation center. Work towards accrediting and maintaining the simulation center with Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSIH). Operate simulation equipment that is own by NMMCL and analysis to all educational and training opportunities in relation to simulation.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A Secret Clearance check is required.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination. Incumbent will be required to sign a statement consenting to annual seasonal influenza vaccination.

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
