This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
You will serve as the Mission Package Certification Lead in the Weapons Control & Integration Department (Code H02) of the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division.
Duties
You will develop and provide daily management of the Surface Warfare (SUW) Mission Package (MP) certification assessment activities and task execution.
You will develop detailed MP certification schedules in coordination between Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) MP Leads, Combat Systems certification, SUW MP Development Team and PMS 420.
You will plan, manage, track and report status and activities of the SUW certification effort.
You will take corrective action as necessary to keep certification activities on track, adjust plans when required, and keep SUW MP developer and stakeholders informed of certification status and risk.
You will report the progress of certification, tasks, risks, and issues to the Mission Package Certification Official (SUW MPCO), PMS 420, development team and SUW MP Certification Panels.
You will coordinate with and brief the SUW MPCO on key issues before providing testimony to SUW MP Certification Panels.
You will establish and maintain a regular dialogue with the SUW MPCO, Program Office (PMS 420), Program Manager (PM), developer and stakeholders to ensure certification assessments for the SUW MP are current and on track.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11 and GS-12 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying analytical and evaluative methods to meet established goals and objectives for a naval combat systems program.
