This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD), Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is assigned to the Warfighter Integration Directorate and matrixed to the Sea-Based Weapon Systems Program Office. The primary purpose of the position is management of the Warfighter Operational Support functions in current operations and specifically those activities in support of waterfront readiness, warfighter engagements and analysis support.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As a Program Analyst at the NH-0343-4 broadband level some of your typical work assignments may include:
Manages the development of integrated plans and schedules for operations support related deliverables to meet critical milestones within the AEGIS Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) portfolio.
Supports the Agency interests in the fielding of Aegis BMD capability to include training, Concept of Ops (CONOPs), reliability, maintainability, availability and sustainment requirements.
Advises the Sea-Based Weapon Systems Warfighter Operational Support Director and Senior managers in the Aegis BMD Program Office of activities, results and recommendations related to project development and management.
Provides managerial and technical support in development, monitoring and tracking of BMD related sustainment efforts including reliability and maintainability data relating to BMD and Aegis Weapons System (AWS) combat system elements.
Manages reporting and tracking status of Aegis Combat System (ACS)/ AWS Casualty Reports (CASREPs) to include notifications of high visibility CASREPs when received and providing report updates.
Establishes and maintains liaison with MDA Waterfront Readiness Officers and organizations both internal and external to MDA for operational support and sustainment-related deliverables.
Provides on-site Program Office technical liaison support, planning, and coordination support in response to real world events and coordinates actions, resolves problems and responds to the needs of the Agency and the Warfighter Community.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the NH-04 broadband level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:
Plan and assess missile defense capabilities at the tactical and/or operational level utilizing missile defense Planning Tools (i.e. Cerberus, Aegis Mission Planner) using Operational Doctrine and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) for employment of Maritime Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) forces in a Joint/NATO environment.
Identify and solve Aegis missile defense mission readiness issues related to fielded maritime and land-based capabilities using high-level, complex program analysis; provide managerial and technical support; execute risk management and systems engineering policies and practices; and fulfill acquisition and life cycle management duties.
Provide managerial and technical support in development, monitoring and tracking of Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) related sustainment efforts including system casualties, material readiness, reliability and maintainability data relating to BMD and Aegis Weapon System (AWS) combat system elements.
