You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER in the LOGSU-8/N4 of SDVT-1.
Duties
You will be responsible official for hazardous material and programs.
You will coordinate and track all hazardous waste and use HAZMAT for collection and disposal.
You will responsible for maintaining a list of all Hazardous Materials used in the facility by work location and will ensure list is updated on at least a semi-annual basis.
You will prepare survey reports for the commanding officer identifying unsafe operations and conditions, specifying corrective actions required.
Requirements

- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required when handling HAZMAT as outlined by the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) corresponding to the HAZMAT in use.
- Member will be at risk if the safety procedures are disregarded. Discomfort may arise when receiving and storing a large order of HAZMAT in the heat.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and guiding Hazardous Material procedures and technical processes in accordance with environmental regulations; developing comprehensive safety educations programs through formal training session, guest lectures and/or supervisor-employee discussions.
