You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST (SERVICES OFFICER) in the Provost Marshal/Marine Corps Police Department of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.
Duties
You will perform security support functions, and operational and contingency planning.
You will plan, manage, direct, evaluate the effective operations of police support services in accordance with organizational goals and objectives.
You will manage the timely and accurate completion and dissemination of all reporting and administrative requirements as directed.
Your will manage the assignment of subordinates to shifts and areas of responsibility based on consideration of mission requirements and availability of resources.
You will maintain and monitor integrated reporting systems and data bases affecting programs with interrelated functions and operations.
You will identify training and developmental needs of employees and provide for or arrange such training and development. Approve leave, hear and resolve complaints.
Requirements

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- Incumbent must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license and be able to maintain a U.S. Government emergency vehicle operator's license.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and coordinating security policy guidance, security training/education, physical security, access control and resource management in direct support of law enforcement operations. Supervise emergency dispatch services for first responders, electronic security and Mass Notification alert systems.
