The GS-09 salary range starts at $59,966 per year. Locality will be determined based on duty location.If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience providing support on an organization’s financial operations and must include the following:
Using financial management techniques to analyze operations and make recommendations on improving financial management systems and activities;
Performing analysis and reconciliation of operating and financial data for compliance with policies, completeness, and accuracy to area specific accounting transactions;
Performing routine financial transactions and assisting with research associated with the accounts receivable and payable programs; and
Using automated tools and systems to analyze financial data and prepare routine reports.
OR A master's degree or equivalent graduate degree or have completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. OR A combination of graduate level education and appropriate experience.
