About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Explain work requirements, methods and procedures. Plan weekly and monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establish deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules. Review job descriptions for currency and accuracy and make necessary changes. Identify employees' training needs, and initiate recommendations to provide necessary training.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position may require a one-year supervisory probationary period.
• Federal Wage System employees, WG/WL/WS etc, must satisfactorily complete the appropriate annual Depot Medical Examination.

I assign immediate tasks associated with heavy mobile equipment mechanic duties to be performed by individuals within cost center.
