About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Duties

Serves as a Supervisory Program Analyst for a Joint Interagency Task Force South (JIATFS). JIATFS consists of elements from the various Federal Agencies such as DOD, DHS, CBP, USCG, DOJ, FBI, DEA, CIA, and DOS; and allied military services. Interacts with national/ international Ambassadors/ high-ranking military leaders from Latin American countries such as Central, South America and the Caribbean on counter illicit trafficking and counter transregional transnational threat operations. Synthesizes data from diverse sources to formulate plans of action to determine the focus of resources which may require intensive coordination efforts with U.S. interagency/intelligence communities, international partners, and the military depts. Protects the command level interest with technical counter illicit trafficking and counter trans-regional transnational threat (CT3N) analysis from plans and strategies developed by the organization. Advises on illicit trafficking detection and monitoring to modify and develop new policy strategies on counter illicit trafficking and counter trans-regional transnational threat operations. Contacts top level officials within the Military Services, Joint Staff Interagency agencies and foreign military officials for the purpose of explaining policy issues to gain necessary support of mission strategies and resource requirements. Articulates on U.S. and international law and treaties which pertain to the detection and monitoring mission in the organizations area of operations, such as in Latin American countries. Distributes work assignments, establishes workload priorities, conducts training, and reviews work of subordinates.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• Must be cleared for, and when granted, maintain a Top-Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
• Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 50% of the time CONUS and overseas locations.
