You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER (SHIPFITTER) in the RIF Planning Division, Engineering & Planning Department of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.
This announcement is for an Upward Mobility Program position.
Duties
You will begin performing continuous in-progress job status checks, identification and resolution of problems, identifying and assembling logistical technical data, and preparation of Planning Department Sketches (PDR).
You will prepare detailed job orders, performing ship checks, identifying work boundaries, developing the work procedure and process.
You will prepare estimates of manpower, ordering materials, establishing test criteria, determining the quality assurance requirements and developing the quality assurance forms.
You will perform ship checks to ensure the Controlled Work Packages (CWP) and Formal Work Packages (FWP) accurately describe the work to be accomplished, for the scope of work involved.
You will develop Controlled Work Packages (CWP) and Formal Work Packages (FWP) to define authorized work boundaries, scope of work, recertification testing.
You will develop technical and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements, material costs, and man-hour estimates required for work accomplishments.
You will developing procedures to manufacture as required for the correct specification, develop test procedures using source documents.
You will develop procedures for repairs/modification/alterations, and new installations for various shipboard systems and equipment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing production operations to identify problems and recommend solutions for ship repair, maintenance, overhaul, or modernization projects.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialize experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: observing and analyzing production operations to resolve issues and scheduling delays for ship repair, maintenance, overhaul, or modernization projects.

Successful completion of a Master's (or equivalent graduate degree such
