You will serve as a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER with NAVFAC NORTHWEST.

Duties

You will recommend corrective action to management on variations impacting cost, performance, or scheduling. You will analyze production work in progress and maintenance queues to determine conformance to established scheduling, costs, and completion dates. You will develop new production operations (e.g., planning, scheduling, executing assignments) to improve production efficiency. You will analyze production operations to determine if the schedule can be improved or to determine causes of delay. You will observe production operations to determine if schedules are being followed.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • May be required to visit production and construction areas which involve moderate risks and discomfort and require occupational safety precautions including the use of personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses and hard hats.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, scheduling, fund tracking and resource leveling in support of facilities construction, maintenance, and repair projects. 2) Developing, preparing, and reviewing reports, spreadsheets, graphs, and flowcharts for the use of production planning and control. 3) Monitoring the status of work, validating data, and coordinating completion of supporting actions. **NOTE: This experience must be fully supported in your resume to be considered for this position.** Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=GS-CLER.
