About the Position: Serves as the Supervisory Management Analyst under the general direction of the Director of Public Works at a large multi-mission military installation garrison; located on Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Duties

Serve as Chief of the Business Operations and Integration Division (BOID) at the garrison level. Responsible for planning, programming, and directing the mission of the Division. Ensure accomplishment of medium and long- range planning for the Business Operations Division within the general framework of plans and programs established at garrison level. Serve as principal advisor and technical expert to the DPW Director and key staff members on financial management activities. Provide leadership, direction, and coordination of DPW resource management programs and Work Reception, Estimating, and Scheduling functions for the Directorate. Assign and review work, review and certify correctness of job descriptions, develop performance standards, appraise performance, and review and approve performance evaluations.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 06/08). Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.
  • The Financial Disclosure Report is required upon entering the position and annually thereafter, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500- 7-R. Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 23 March 2006.
  • Temporary Duty (TDY) Travel may be required up to 5% of the time for this position.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • Must use personal protective equipment provided by the employer when visiting construction sites.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
