As a Program Analyst (Regulatory Affairs) at the GS-0343-13, you will be part of Office of the Executive Secretariat, Privacy, and Information Management, Office of Personnel Management. If selected, you will be responsible for providing analytical and management support for the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) regulatory program. Assignments will consist of regulatory tasks that cut across and impact the entire Federal government workforce and the military.
Duties
Edit proposed regulations for effectiveness, efficiency, substance, adequacy, justification, and conformity to agency and Executive Order policies consistent with the agency's Regulatory Affairs Program.
Represent the organization in dealings with officials of other agency organizations, OMB, OIRA, and the private sector.
Represent OESPIM in working with regulatory program officials to discuss issues and challenges and assist in their resolution.
Complete regulatory activity reporting requirements to OMB and Congress (i.e., unified agenda and prioritization of regulations).
Qualifications
For the GS 13: You must have one year of specialized experience which is equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Service (obtained in either the private or public sector) which demonstrates experience with: 1) collecting data related to regulatory activities and compliance; 2) assisting with the development and implementation of regulatory policies and procedures; 3) ensuring compliance with federal regulations and guidelines, including interpreting and applying regulatory requirements.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS13 level.
