This position is located in the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) at the Commodity Futures Trading. Commission (CFTC). The OIG is an independent and autonomous office with a dual reporting responsibility to both the Commission and Congress. The OIG’s mission is to promote integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness by promoting for continuous improvement in CFTC’s management and program operations.
Duties
This is a senior position within the CFTC Office of Inspector General (OIG), constructing and leading OIG’s Office of Evaluations and reporting to the IG. The incumbent provides sophisticated and expert-level advice to the IG and OIG leadership on Evaluations. In accordance with all evaluation requirements applicable to the CFTC OIG, the incumbent participates and supervises in all stages of evaluations related to agency programs, policies, and procedures. Evaluations may be routine or complex.

- A Public Financial Disclosure Report, OGE Form 278e is required.
Qualifications
CT-15 Level: Applicants must have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower band or level equivalent to CT-14 / GS-14 in the Federal Service, or comparable private/public sector experience which has equipped the applicant with the skills and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Experience constructing and leading OIG’s Evaluation Programs;
Experience serving as an expert consultant in providing expert-level advice to the IG and Agency leadership on Evaluations;
Experience in supervising a team in executing all stages of evaluations as it relates to agency programs; and
Experience in directing regular and periodic briefings to the IG and/or OIG leadership, and negotiating and providing resolutions to problems, particularly those involving execution of the evaluations.
Education
Equivalent combinations of education and experience are qualifying for all grade levels for which both education and experience are acceptable.
