About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Human Resources (DHR) - Military Personnel Division, Fort Campbell, KY. Fort Campbell lies on the Kentucky/Tennessee border between Hopkinsville, KY & Clarksville, TN about 45 miles NW of Nashville.
Duties
Oversee the Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) Team, contingency operation, Personnel Actions, Personnel, Services, Personnel processing, Military Pay, Temporary Change of Station (TCS) orders, Processing for overseas (POM)movement and Reintegration.
Ensure the Mobilization Exercise Program is effective, sensitive specific missions and needs, and is coherently organized for effective implementation.
Interpret directives, regulations an polices from higher command as well as policies, procedures, organizations structures, staff patterns, space allotments and resources of installation to ensure all possible problems are considered.
Coordinates unit mobilization station conferences.
Analyze the war plan missions assigned to the state's units and evaluate the capability of those units to meet requirements considering mobilization capability, readiness and other factors.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Requires a secret security clearance.
- May be required to serve on permanent or rotating shifts and is subject to work nights/ weekends/recalls and/or extensive overtime.
- Requires an understanding of the Global Command and Control System-Army (GCCS-A) and SIPRNET systems.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1)Preparing reports regarding deployment and readiness operations; 2) Coordinates mobilization and planning operations with supporting agencies; AND 3) Reviews readiness and deployment packets for deficiencies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as:

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
