You will serve as the Environmental Resources and Assessments Branch Head in the Environmental Business Line of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Atlantic located in Norfolk, VA.

Duties

You will provide expert consultation services on requirements, program, resource, assessment, oversight and community management issues for all facilities related environmental issues within the NAVFAC Lant area of responsibility. You will assist in budget formulation, providing support to resolve execution issues, resource issues, community management issues and assessment and oversight issues as well as technical support for the Environmental Business Line. You will directly supervise one to four Supv Env Engineers/Scientists, and/or Planners (0020, 0401, 0819 and/or 1301) and serve as second line supervisor for between 20 and 50 professional, administrative and technical civilian employees. You will attend and participate in various federal, state and industry briefings, and professional society meetings to stay abreast of new management techniques, and new or high tech aspects of compliance programs and projects. You will represent the Business Line at Execution Briefs, OPS meetings and other Command leadership functions as the acting Environmental Business Line Coordinator when assigned.
