About the Position: Augusta has a moderate year-round climate and Ft Eisenhower's location offers close proximity to metropolitan areas and is an easy drive to Atlanta, Savannah, the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean and the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.
This is a TERM appointment not to exceed 13 months.
Duties
Ensures that tests are scored and results recorded accurately, proper testing procedures are followed, test sessions are organized, each individual has test materials, is following instructions, and has questions answered.
Advises on the long-range academic calendar, the status of course quotas, and projected number of students attending each course.
Ensures all documents are filed, maintained, and destroyed in accordance with Army policy.
Verifies that procedures are in place to safeguard and account for controlled test materials as they are received, mailed, stored, administered, scored, and when scores are reported.
Ensures only authorized personnel handle sensitive test material and understand their requirements.
Coordinates all required changes in coding and recording of student data through the automated student record system.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This is a Term position scheduled to last 13 months.
Qualifications
This position is a TERM position Not to Exceed 13 months. It is a time limited position and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years total. This position may be filled as a Temporary Promotion or a Temporary Reassignment and may be extended for current Department of Army employees. At the end of this period, you will return to your permanent position of record, or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience which includes (1) Managing paper and pencil tests for student testing and automated web based testing; (2) Controlling all phases of test material receipt, storage, protection, issue, administration, scoring, and destruction; (3) supporting the development of testing schedules. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as any major field of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
