Duties
Serve as a Regulatory Program Technician furnishing regulatory assistance and administrative, clerical and logistical support to the Technical Regional Execution Center (TREC).
Maintain inventory of office and field-related equipment and supplies necessary to create a functional and safe working environment in order to execute the TREC’s regulatory mission.
Provide technical assistance to the TREC by entering data entry to document.
Create and/or assist with travel orders and travel vouchers.
Receive and route incoming and outgoing correspondence such as permit applications, permit instruments and decision documents, enforcement letters, administrative letters, Congressional responses.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation (NACI-TIER 2).
- This position requires a self-certifying of proficiency of 40 words per minute (wpm) typing speed ability. (will be provided statement to sign for validation of this ability)
- Must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes: Performing administrative duties which include financial management systems, supply management, timekeeping, data processing, and project tracking and files management. Basic experience with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Regulatory program or a similar program with another entity/organization.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06 or above).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
