You will serve as a PSYCHOLOGICAL OPERATIONS PLANNER in the MARINE CORPS INFORMATION OPERATIONS CENTER of HQ US MARINE CORPS.

Duties

You will develop relationships to integrate United States Marine Corps (USMC) PSYOP forces and capabilities into Marine Corps and joint force planning documents and missions wherever feasible. You will develop and integrates command PSYOP policy on mission, strategy, doctrine, employment and command and control. You will assist in the formulation of planning efforts and coordination of PSYOP activities with other services, agencies, and organizations – both military and civilian. You will assist in the determination of the appropriate media and methods of disseminating information. You will coordinate resource requirements for the development, production, and distribution of PSYOP products, programs, and actions in support of MCIOC missions and forward deployed units. You will design and support MISO missions integrating intelligence collections assets in order to provide the best methods of collection in support of operations in the information environment (OIE).

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing, integrating, and coordinating strategy, doctrine, simulators and/or systems, objectives and plans for meetings, representing the command at conferences and long-range planning, to study and analyze actions to determine the impact on the mission and organization.
