About the Position: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Operations and Training Specialist with the United States Army Central Command (USARCENT).
This is an obligated position which may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed 13 Months by a current permanent Army employee.

Duties
Serves as the proponent for all taskers, requirements, and RFIs that require G4 review and action.
Monitors several sources for received taskers and requirements to include, but not limited to, personal e-mail inbox, G4 CUOPS inbox, HQDA
Task Management Tool (TMT), and the USARCENT Task Management System (TMS).
Performs mission analysis, and tasks staff action officers and directorates as necessary to complete the requirements.
Establishes and maintains database and electronic files to capture all critical information pertaining to each tasking request received.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
- This position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously
impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base
operations during mobilization.
- This position requires that the employee occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 10% of the time.

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or specialized requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in reviewing training plans and programs; maintaining training activities/program requirements; managing various unit training exercises for soldiers and civilians; utilizing multiple automation and information management systems to input/export reports, track and manage tasks, monitor and maintain training activities, and program requirements; AND maintaining the Current Operations Tasking Tracker. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).

Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
