This position is located in the Division of Insurance and Research, Washington, DC of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support by conducting projects in support of the Corporation's effort to identify, monitor and address existing and emerging aggregate risks to the Corporation's deposit insurance funds.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify for CG-13, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing, interpreting financial and statistical calculations related to the financial services industry, compiling information and writing about the banking industry.
To qualify for CG-14, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG/GS-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience performing, interpreting financial and statistical calculations related to the financial services industry; compiling information for and writing about the banking industry and leading projects involving financial and economic analyses from multiple sources.
