Duties
Serve as the Plans and Operations Officer for the G35 Future Operations Branch for all matters pertaining to Future Operational/Contingency plans, operations and exercises supporting U.S. Army Pacific (USARPAC).
Develop, implement, and control operational/contingency plans, orders, policies, programs, operations, individual deployments, mobilization, and unit tasking in support of the command’s operational missions.
Assist in the development coordination, and periodic execution of certification exercises for the USARPAC Defense Coordinating Officer/Element, Theater NEO Coordination Element or other elements of the staff.
Participate in USARPAC exercises across the Pacific.
Manages the USARPAC Theater Campaign Plan (TCP) development, planning, and publication.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
- This position is designated as Drug Testing Required. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing in accordance with DA guidelines. Incumbent must complete DA 5019.
- Position is designated as "Emergency-Essential" in accordance with AR 690-11. Emergency-Essential designation takes precedence over any transportation agreement or military recall status.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Must be able to remain standing or walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to wear protective equipment in extreme temperatures with limited amounts of food and water.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in joint military operational and contingency planning which includes: evaluating and updating plans and exercises; analyzing, gathering and developing recommendations to resolve problems regarding operational plans and exercises. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
