Duties

Requisition parts and supplies through the federal supply system and from commercial vendors. Process receipt transactions in Logistics Information System (LIS) for material being received through Supply System, by contract, local purchase and similar means. Review packing lists, receiving documents, bills of lading, inspection reports and other actions for material receipt against contract and/or purchase orders to verify accuracy of stock identification, quantity, costs, and other pertinent data. Make purchases using U.S. Government Purchase Card (GPC) for items not available through the Army wholesale supply system, or items whose lead time is deemed inadequate to support mission requirements. Develop data required for the execution of purchases with the GPC to include sources of supply, availability of items, obtaining government discounts, mode of shipment, and certification of invoices and statements. Function as a purchasing agent with a single purchase limit of $10,000.00 and a monthly limit up to a maximum of $65,000.00 or as determined by the Billing Official (BO). Operate electric, gasoline, or diesel-powered forklift truck in order to lift loads weighing up to 10,000 pounds.

  • This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
  • This position requires to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 Investigation.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
  • This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a forklift license within 90 days of employment.
  • This position requires incumbent to complete Global Combat Support System (GCSS)-Army Training within 30 days of employment.
  • This position requires incumbent to complete Government Purchase Card (GPC) training within 30 days of employment.
