About the Position: Serves as Supply Technician at the Central Issue Facility (CIF), responsible for maintaining the installation's MCES (military clothing and Equipment Support) property for Organizational Clothing and individual Equipment (OCIE).
Duties
Debit or credit all statement of charges, cash collection vouchers, report of surveys, lateral transfers, requisition requests, property disposal documents, hand receipts, ISD turn-ins, issue/turn-in abstracts, and movement of documents within CIF.
Identify, sort, size and inspect the obvious physical condition of all Organizational Clothing and individual Equipment (OCIE) for the entire installation and all tenant units.
Assist unit supply representatives in the preparation of statement of charges, cash collection Vouchers, reports of survey and lateral transfers by furnishing correct process, stock numbers, etc.
Receive, issue, and exchange organizational clothing and individual equipment.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) using automated supply systems to ensure clothing record accounts are maintained in accordance with regulatory guidance; 2) maintaining supply records for customers supported by the organization; 3) investigating discrepancies in shipments such as incorrect quantities, inferior quality, incomplete, damaged or erroneous materials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
