About the Position: This position is located at the General Leonard Wood Army Community Center in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Perform a full range of supply technician duties with responsibility for obtaining medical/dental material, equipment and services from commercial sources.
Serve as a point of contact for review, correction and submission of all prime vendor summary receipts for both medical/surgical and pharmaceutical Class VIII supplies.
Work with the Defense Supply Center Program (DSCP) in order to review outstanding orders.
Reconcile vendor invoices with automated system and make changes accordingly to ensure proper payment is made.
Serve as a medical commodity manger performing duties in the documentary control and management of the Federal Supply Class or Classes assigned.
Work directly with the contractual prime vendor to determine the best course of action to correct discrepancies either orally or in writing.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes determining quantities required to maintain sufficient on-hand balance using established supply guidelines; maintaining accurate supply records and monitor expiration and potency dates of medical supply items; managing property control and accountability; and preparing reports of inventory discrepancies and financial liability. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or other related program of study.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
