You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST of CENINFOWARTRA PENSACOLA FL.

Duties

You will have knowledge and experience to conduct internal audits to ensure Command is operating within all FIAR requirements. You will have experience and ability to recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organizational programs and administrative operations. You will have knowledge and ability to monitor internal controls, assessable units, and documenting processes. You will have knowledge and experience to formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities You will review and evaluate budget requests and control the reporting of obligations and expenditures.

• This is a Financial Management Level III certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
• Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Formulating and defending federal budget estimates to support plans, programs, and activities; 2) Reviewing and evaluating resource requests from program managers; 3) Analyzing and monitoring the execution of funds to ensure alignment with spending plans; and 4) Training and evaluating federal employees in the performance of financial, accounting, or budgeting work.
