This position is located in the Department of the Treasury, Departmental Offices (DO), Assistant Secretary for Management/CFO, Treasury Operations, Support Services, Communication & Document Services Branch.
Treasury Operations oversees the Department's facilities and offices which provide various support functions.
Duties
As a Supervisory Printing Services Specialist, you will:
Develop and implement the Printing Procurement Team budget.
Establish technical standards for contracts and/or individual procurements to meet the customer needs with consideration to raw materials, new technological advancements, and industry trends.
Prepare formal reports for the Director utilizing metrics that depict trends, identify areas of concern or opportunity, and make recommendations for the effective and efficient operation of the Printing Procurement Branch.
Adapt or modify standard practices, equipment, and or techniques to solve a variety of production problems.
Lead customer planning meetings, suggesting the most cost-effective method to fulfill the customer requirements.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience for the GS-13 is one year (52 weeks) of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service, or equivalent, which has equipped the candidate with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience for this position includes ALL the following:
- Leading teams to ensure on-time execution of print manufacturing plans, and equipment maintenance; AND
- Developing and implementing new standard practices to solve production problems; AND
- Experience performing administrative functions including developing and implementing budgets, preparing reports, and reviewing and updating contracts as needed. AND
- Experience working with printed products which range from one or more spot colors to 4-color process printing.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
